Incidentally, I went to the lecture given by Masaya Onimaru. I learned about the children who live as soldiers.
I felt sad with the realities of their life. And I considered.
What can I do just now?
There are a lot of seniors and friends who talk about this problem in the CLUB GEORDIE.
Everyone works on the international problems in his own ways and communicate with foreigners actively.
However, we have a lot of things to learn. So I want you to know more about what is going on in the world.

If you have a time and opportunity, why don’t you join a lot of events and extend to your world?

This summer, I went to China with Mari who is one of my Chinese friends and has the same class of seminar.
The life in China was very fantastic.
Every dish was very delicious, especially Chinese dumplings.
Chinese people make every dish themselves in their house.
For example, Japanese buy Chinese dumplings that is prepared, but Chinese make Chinese dumplings by their own, because ingredients and covers are all homemade.
When I found a difference of culture and view of things, I took many pictures.
This is good memory for me.
This trip was good for me because I could observe how kind Chinese people were and some difference of culture.
Why don’t you go on a trip to experience other culture?

This is an educational activity to encourage people to pay attention to the various world issues through the steps for “knowing, thinking, and acting”. Our present theme is “China”. We are planning activities to let children know the timely issues about China.

For example, we are planning to play the game of “rock-paper-scissors”, puzzles with map of China, and word plays.

As of now, I am going about four Project Teams: Cooking Communication, Let’s Cooperate with KG Eco-habitat, Open Campus and Club Geordie New Staff Event 2008. This time I am going to talk about the latest up coming event, Open Campus.

Open Campus will be held in ninth August. Plenty of high-school students will come to KGS. Club Geordie will have a booth, and some staff of Club Geordie will be there to talk about our achievements and what students can do in KGS. Students who are going to take an entrance examination may have the anxiety about it. We would like to get rid of their anxiety by answering their questions.

This program is completely new for Club Geordie, so even senior staff do not know what it is all about. Thus, this event is the big challenge for Club Geordie!! I am now a little excited about it. However, I would like to enjoy the event and conversation with high-school students!!

We held “Refugee Event” in June 16th to 20th at Kwansei Gakuin Koube Sanda Campus. I took part in the project team of that event. I think refugee problem is just difficult to approach, but in this event, we wanted students to consider “Refugee problem as a very big problem for everyone!!!” We also wanted them to know that even students can join in this problem and attack it actually.

I participated in this project for the first time as a new GEORDIE staff, so everything was difficult for me. However, seniors taught me kindly. Also, they gave many times to talk my opinion(made me easy to tell my opinion many times) and it made me happy.

I took part in the project team of the event called “Why don’t you join the Arts and Crafts together? ~International cooperation through the Arts~” which was held on June 8th . In this event, we made the participants of various nationalities draw “peaceful world” on the big plain cloth with paints in order to have prompts to think about “peace”. We staff were impressed by feeling various thoughts for their arts.

Today, I really feel that time has passed so quickly. Without any notice, I became the third grades. When I was first grade, I joined CLUB GEORDIE. Then, I really looked up to my seniors of the third grades at that time. However, today, I am on the same position. A lot of freshmen have joined CLUB GEORDIE, and my juniors are really well. Therefore, I will do my best as a senior.

“Why don’t you join the Arts and Crafts together? ～International cooperation through the Arts～” , an event I take charge of, will be held on June 8. This theme of CLUB GEORDIE is to do with all members. Until this event was admitted to be held, every member considered and discussed seriously. Therefore, this event has strong hearts of all members.

In this event, we separate all participants into some groups and make every group express “Peace” with Arts. Of course, there are many funny programs that you can get satisfied with, for example, to eat ethnic lunch with your group members, to complete our original “Peace Book” etc.

There is only a few time until the day! In fact, I’m really worried, so please give me your supports.
